Killer Hertz

Conceived in the roots of the infamous Melbourne Hip Hop sound is the Killer Hertz, a Hip Hop supergroup curated by local legend Ivan Khatchoyan (Traffic, Cookin’ On 3 Burners).


The group is fronted by Melbourne MC 1/6 (Public Opinion) on the mic, NOE on vocals, and frequent special guests!

In recent years the Killer Hertz has earned a reputation as a group to look out for, with their electric performances opening for The Jungle Brothers (USA), Duckwrth (USA), and their sellout Melbourne International Jazz Festival performance, paying homage to the late Nina Simone. The Killer Hertz have held the fort at the Evelyn Hotel’s Monday night Hip Hop jams, in recent years, with a who’s who of the local scene often paying a visit. Members of the group have either written, played, or recorded with many off Melbournes Hip Hop and the R n B community.
